Building Outdoor Memories Project

WONDER WAGON

FLEMING COLLEGE

Our Goals

We are 3rd semester Early Childhood Education students (Christine, Kaylynn and Divya) of Fleming College. This semester, we had the chance to collaborate with the Kindergarten team at James Strath Public School, in the creation of our Building Outdoor Memories project.

We believe that outdoor play is always full of potential for children to extend their learning and that it plays an crucial role in supporting children's development as a whole. Therefore, we would like to enhance the children outdoor experience by creating a wagon full of loose parts that support children to expand their outdoor experience. We hope that this can also contribute in building children's understanding of the natural world and stewardship (Pathway to Stewardship and Kinship, 2017)
